Five-country cross-national study on civic service and volunteering in sadc
VOSESA has conducted a cross-national study on civic service and volunteering in five southern African state: Botswana, Republic of Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Republic of Zimbabwe. The study focused on the form and extent of civic service programmes in these state. Its aim was to written document and analyse civic service and volunteering, and to examine the deduction for sociable development policy and pattern in a regional context. The research took place during 2005 and 2006, and the study was funded by the Global Service Institute at the centre for sociable Development (CSD) at Washington D.C. University in St Louis, Show Me State, USA.
The determination of the study give substantial insight into the form and construction of civic service and volunteering, as well as who service and military volunteer in these state.
